Dear Santee & Reindeer Food

Gabby and Lilly received a very special package from Santee shortly before Christmas! One day Daddy came home from work and noticed a special package on the porch. He brought it into Gabby and Lilly.

Carefully opening it up...

"Hey sis. I can hear dose jingly bells!"

No way!!! Santee send Gabby and Lilly some reindeer food to sprinkle on our lawn on Christmas Eve!

He even sent a personalized letter for Gabby and one for Lilly!!!

Christmas 2010 was the first year that Gabby and Lilly began to understand what the meaning of Christmas is, both religious and festive. I will admit that they were slightly more excited about learning of Santee than the birth of Jesus. BUT, we have many years to iron that out so I'm not too worried quite yet. Anywho, they loved loved loved getting special letters and reindeer food from Santee. They even received a phone call from the big guy too! After they received their reindeer food, we made little bags of the same kind of food for their friends at preschool.

In case you are wondering, it was equal parts oats and sugar with red and gold glitter.

The poem says: A gift for you this holiday, to help Santa's reindeer guide his sleigh. Sprinkle this reindeer food all about and say this poem with a shout!

Sprinkle on our lawn at night. The moon will make it sparkle bright. As Santa's reindeer fly and soar, This will guid them to our door!.

They made for cute holiday gifts for friends. This also meant that our family of four was out on Christmas Eve sprinkling reindeer food on the lawn. If you remember, Christmas eve happened to be super frigid with a seriously strong north wind. Fair to say memories were made all around! I can't wait to do something like this next year! So fun!
