Move over Picasso

During a recent trip to the craft store I ran across finger paint. My thoughts went something like this (pardon the run-on, but I don't think complete thoughts anymore) 'The girls would LOVE this...might be messy...but they would LOVE it...and just think of the pictures...the finished 'painting'...is it safe?...yep, non-toxic...but it would be messy...and what if they eat it...and you know they would eat it...but they would LOVE it...Dada will think I'm crazy...but he's right...but they would LOVE it.' I think you get the point.

As a side note, I've realized that I do so much extra, unnecessary thinking now that I'm a mommy. And most of it is a serious waste of energy. I knew within 2 seconds that I would be bringing that paint home with me, but because I am a sensible, thoughtful, cautious mother (What? You think I'm something else?:) ) I have to justify my actions. It may sound odd to you, but it makes the actual purchase and use much more enjoyable!

Anywho, during a hectic 'what in the heck can I do with these children' moment, I broke out the finger paint. And my thoughts were right on. All my thoughts.

They LOVED it.
It was a mess...
A tasty mess.
And oh, what cute pictures!

And because I'm that kind of Mommy, I'm going to have the masterpieces framed!
