Dear Santa

Seeing as how Gabby and Lilly are barely verbal, let alone able to use a writing utensil legibly, they asked me to type this letter to you. They'd like to let you know that they've been very good and believe they have earned slightly more than coal this year. Here is their Christmas list:

Dear Santa,

1. We would really be thankful if you brought us some ink pens for Christmas. Not just any ink pen will do. The roller pens that are extra juicy with lots of ink is the kind we would like. Mommy keeps trying to give us dried up pens and boring pencils to write with. Santa, you know that those pens can't do this:

2. We would really like some personal mail to arrive in our mailbox this next year. You see, Mommy always lets us go with her to check the mail and then we always want to have some mail to play with. This was working out fine until a couple weeks ago when all that arrived in the mailbox were bills. Supposedly it is our fault that we cried so much that Mommy finally gave in, gave us the cable bill, and then forgot to pay it. We don't see how that is our fault, but Mommy said Sesame Street might not come on the TV for a couple days and, even though that didn't happen this time, we'd like our own mail so that Sesame Street is never in jeopardy like that again!

3. Santa, please bring us more chalk to play with. We really like outdoor chalk, but Mommy just introduced us to small pieces of chalk that you use on paper indoors. Well, we loved it even more than outside chalk. We loved it so much that we did this mural:

Isn't it perfect! We thought so too, but Mommy said no more small chalk for awhile...at least until we understand which chalk can be used on the floor (talk about confusing!). Anyways, we thought if you brought us some more of it, she might let us draw with it, on paper of course, again.

4. We know this is a tricky request, but could you please bring us some sunshine? We LOVE playing outside in our sandbox, but Mommy says it is too cold out there. She also said something about us being messy, but we can't help it! We just love to play in the sand!

It has gotten so bad, Santa, that Mommy leaves the lid and tarp on the sandbox all the time. One day this is what happened:

She was kinda bent out of shape about the whole thing and we were really wet so we thought if you brought us a little sunshine all these problems would go away.

5. And last, but not least, could you bring us our own puter (computer)? Mommy and Daddy are totally selfish with theirs and we'd really like one of our own. We think twitter and facebook might be good social networking tools to learn. Plus, there is a cute little drooler at Mother's Day Out that we'd really like to chat with!

Thanks for reading our letter Santa! We know you are very busy this time of year and have lots of letters to read. Be safe flying on Christmas Eve and look for the cookies we made you.

Love,
Gabby and Lilly
