Snowed In & Snowed Out!

Something strange has been going on where we live. The land of mild winters has seen a blizzard, multiple small snow events, and a bad ice storm most recently.

When the forecast called for a severe ice storm and probable power outages, we headed to my grandparents house. They have a generated and, I don't know about you, but I'm not about to be iced in with two toddlers and no heat if I can prevent it!

Since we couldn't go out in the snow, we brought the snow in...

Dyed it with food coloring (realized that was really messy)...

Ate snow ice cream...

And then made a cake!

And Daddy has a new found respect for the baked goods Mommy and the girls make for him while he's at work! HA!
