Turning Two with a Petting Zoo

On May 15th Gabby and Lilly, along with about 40 of their closest family and friends, celebrated their 2nd Birthday!!! We do birthdays big at our house and this was no exception!

We had a petting zoo and pony rides at our house! We literally had two donkeys roaming our front yard, one pony (Lil' Britches) giving rides, and a chicken and bunny to pet! We also made a 'Big Red Barn' and had hay rides in G & L's wagon. Gabby and Lilly had so much fun seeing the animals and all their little friends!

Learning a lesson...

Due to weather, the party was moved from in our backyard to our garage/front yard. After the animals left to go back to the real farm, all our guests went inside for snacks and cupcakes! We had horse hay, chicken feed, and fruit and vegetables from the garden for snacks. I'm still trying to track down a picture of the food tabe.

And instead of one big cake, we had farm animal 'cuppy cates!' Gabby and Lilly watched me all morning long as I made them and decided about 20 different times which cupcake they were going to eat first!

We had a wonderful time celebating Gabby and Lilly's 2nd birthday. It was a day of laughter, reflection, and anticipation of all the future holds (and grass eating for the animals...you should see the holes in the yard!). We are so thankful for all the family and friends who celebrated with us. It means so much! We are truly blessed!
